About

I create pottery in my studio in Westbrook, Maine. The pieces are inspired by nature using botanical themes. Additionally, I find sensory and aesthetic pleasure in round, curved surfaces using spirals and swirl patterns to create fluidity.
I use cone 6 clay and diverse glazes. The clay is fired over 2000 degrees F, so it is very durable. It is both dishwasher safe and microwaveable. I use only lead free glazes so all pieces are food safe. Baking dishes should go in a cool oven and be brought up to temperature with it.
My pottery journey began with a class at Portland Pottery during college. I then took classes off and on for a number of years. A friend and family helped purchase a kick wheel which I brought with me to various apartments. Two years ago, upon purchasing a house with my husband and acquiring a basement, I also decided to purchase an electric wheel. I now have a full studio in my basement. It is liberating to have materials and equipment at my fingertips any time I like. I am truly blessed! Our three cats and dog wander in with their curiosity frequently and stay to keep me company.
It brings me joy to know the pieces I create go to good homes where they are used in every day life. I hope they bring you joy and are a part of many wonderful memories.
